Steve Jobs Film (2015)
With only one week left before the new Steve Jobs movie
starts hitting cinemas all over the world, one of the main Macintosh builders
who worked with Steve, Andy Hertzfeld, has speak up about the film. Hertzfeld,
who has already detailed his time with Steve during the development of the Mac
computer in his book "Revolution in the Valley" and has been seen as
a main character in the film, said in a live interview that the new movie is cavalier
about the reality. "It deviant from original from every aspect - actually
nothing in this movie happened in reality," he said, and he added, but finally,
that does not matter that much.
Hertzfeld think it's a "nice film" that is
performed and written brilliantly. The main aim of the movie is to inspire, entertain
and attract the movie lovers, not to depict reality. According to Hertzfeld
experiences, Aaron Sorkin, the movie writer, talked him about the history of Jobs,
and consulted him how Steve reacted from certain type of things.
Hertzfeld believes the movie doesn't reflect events as originally
as it happened in real life, he said that it instead "wants to explore and
discover the actual truths behind Job's common behavior and personality, and it
sometime, but not all the time, succeeds on that."
Steve Jobs film has been criticized before for its reflection
of reality, with Jobs Wozniak saying this year that he did not well
recognize the face of Steve himself in the first movie trailer.
Wozniak also extolments the new film and its portrayal of Steve,
and said he expecting dramatic autonomies to be taken, saying entertainment is
also the part of movies like this."
The film is going to release on October 9 in US, and on
November 13 in the UK.
