iPhone video resolution
If you are running the latest iOS9 on an iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6 or newer, you have the option to adjust what
resolution the rear camera captures video at. A lower quality setting is an
option to pick when you have low memory storage, or if you don't want any extra
pixel. You can do this setting for both standard video and slo-mo videos
recordings. Making the turn is easy and fast — let see how.
Tap to Settings > Photos & Camera, choose either Record
Slow-mo or Record Video and choose resolution that you want from the listed selection.
Remember that the higher the frame rate and resolution, the
more memory space video will take up on your device. For example:
Slo-mo video
recording
·
720p HD at 240fps (most frames, default): 300MB
per minute
·
1080p HD at 120fps: 375MB per minute
Standard video
recording
·
4k (highest resolution; iPhone 6S and 6S Plus
only): 375MB per minute
·
1080p HD at 30fps (default resolution): 130MB
per minute
·
1080p HD at 60fps (smoother video): 200MB per
minute
·
720p HD at 30fps: 60MB per minute
