HP Pavilion Mini

HP Pavilion Mini is one of the best and latest quiet, small and efficient desktops in the market, and it's one of the best and elegant looking mini desktops we have seen the release of the Apple’s Mini. With versions starting at $269 the Pavilion Mini desktop is an affordable option, with enough storage memory and good power for day-to-day processes.
The device is equipped with 1TB of space, an Intel’s 1.9GHz Core i3 CPU and 4GB of main memory (which can be upgrade up to 16GB if required); a much faster model with Core i5 processor is also available, as is a cost effective choice with a low capable Pentium processor and 500 GB of hard drive.

Design

Weight is only a 660g and with a powerful footprint of 144mm x 144mm x 52mm, the Pavilion Mini takes low desk space than the Mac Mini, and little bit more taller than the Acer One R85L (which is around three times tall); if you didn't know much then you can easily confuse with HP Pavilion Mini for a Wi-Fi router or and external drive. Overall style is like an early 2000s iMac, favoring the combination of semi-translucent and shiny white plastics over aluminum bodies you can find on many other Mac copies. With fewer proportions and without square edge in sight, the HP Pavilion Mini is a nice looking little device that would grace the workspaces.

On front there are small USB 3.0 slots near the power button, and on the right side there's a SD card socket for quick photo accessibility. On the back there are two USB 3.0 sockets with a DisplayPort, HDMI, 3.5mm microphone/ headphone, RJ45 Network and DC power slot. The bottom is covered with a rubber pad that stops the device to slide around, and it can be removed to get access to the screws, you will need to put it back in order to get access to the internals.

Specifications

The complete specifications of the device are given below:
·         CPU: Intel Core i3-40255U, 1.9GHz.
·         RAM: 4GB 1,600MHZ DDR3.
·         Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5500.
·         Optical drive: N/A.
·         Storage: 1TB 5,400rpm HDD.
·         Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n Wi-Fi.

·         Ports: 4 USB 3.0, HDMI, DisplayPort, headphone/microphone jack, SD Card.
·         OS: 64-bit Windows 8.
·         Size: 144mm x 144mm x 52mm (W x D x H).

The specifications aren’t looking bad for such an efficient device, and in real world performance was far better than a taller desktop from such a small package. The HP Pavilion Mini takes just some seconds to boot, and 1080p video streaming didn't an issue.
If you are looking forward to buy a mini to look elegant in your office, sit sneak under your television or meet the device requirements for a kid's homework, then the Pavilion Mini is a best contender.

While the core specification may not compatible with the requirements of game lover (who want to consider it as Alienware Alpha or Maingear Spark), or more intensifier process, the higher end device more than fulfill the requirements of those who looking for a computer for entertainment at home, and the price is favorably against the price of Acer Revo RL85.
